Today’s Friday Girl is one of my 1980s Sindy’s who is helping me present a Sindy Scenesetter called Walk In The Park. Naomi gave me this for my birthday earlier this week. The set came with the pram but no instructions so I haven’t figured out how to put the hood together properly yet. Two of the little knobs on the side are broken so I may not be able to. I held it together with gaffer tape for the photos.
The set comes with a baby. Mine has molded hair which means it is the first edition. Later babies in 1984-5 had rooted hair and a darker complexion. The set also comes with a large vinyl dog that looks like a red setter. The set Naomi bought did not have the dog but she was able to track one down elsewhere to add to the package. He doesn’t have his collar and chain any more so let’s hope the dog catcher is not in the park.
I do have the dress pictured on the box somewhere and I will try to find it and work out how to do the hood better for a later photo shoot.
